Questions, answered
Can Cartsella Studio change my live store?
Clones and syncs only read from Production. The only way to write to Production is to opt in to metafield editing there — editing fields, or bringing fields over from staging with a preview and undo — and every such change is audited. Campaign links change nothing in your store at all.
Do I need a staging store to use metafield tools or campaign links?
No. Campaign links work on the store the app is installed on. The metafield editor works in staging out of the box, and in Production once you allow it.
Are customers and orders copied to staging?
Never. They hold your shoppers' personal data and a staging store doesn't need them.
Do I need Shopify Plus?
No. Any Shopify store where you can install apps works, including development stores for staging.
