Subscription reorders in one scan

The best time to sell a refill is when the customer is holding the empty box. A campaign link with a subscription in the cart turns that moment into a checkout.

The idea

Print a QR code on your packaging, insert card or label. Scanning it opens checkout with the right product already in the cart, as a subscription, with a discount if you want one. No searching for the product, no picking a plan, no typing a code.

How to set it up

  1. In Cartsella Studio, create a campaign link and add the product.
  2. Choose its subscription option (the products need a selling plan from your subscription app).
  3. Optionally add a discount code you've created in Shopify, like a "first refill" offer.
  4. Set the link to open at checkout.
  5. Download the QR code and send it to your printer.

Why it's safe to print

A printed code has to keep working for months. Campaign links live on your own domain (like yourstore.com/apps/go/refill), so there's no third-party shortener to expire. If you schedule an end date, the link quietly opens your home page afterwards rather than a broken page. You can change the products or discount behind a link without reprinting the code, as long as you keep the link's name.

See what it brings in

Each link shows its clicks, and each order shows which link it came from (in the order's notes in Shopify). QR codes are tagged qr, so their traffic shows up in Shopify's reports too.
